  • Vegetable broth (1 cup)
  • Balsamic vinegar (1 tablespoon)
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and balsamic vinegar, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the caramelized onions. Mix well to coat.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
